The challenge:
Could we make it even easier to get a smile you love?
The idea:
Create a streamlined app that Club members can use to track their teeth-straightening progress, receive alerts to switch aligners, and chat with the SmileDirectClub dental team at their convenience - so they get the best results from their treatment plan.
I worked with the DX team at every step - outlining the overall structure and user journey, structuring layout and navigation, and advising use cases and versions. I wrote all UX copy from onboarding to FAQs, errors, and microcopy.
We launched the app in late 2022, and saw:
- 80% adoption rate within the first 30 days
- 500K lifetime downloads (as of 3/10/2022)
- 47 average NPS score at end of treatment for those who downloaded vs. those who didn’t
