The challenge:

Showcase the breadth of Delta Air Lines worldwide destinations with something snazzier than another “What to do in Dubai” travel article.

The idea:

We created an experience that was part Amazing Race, part American Idol, and part travel show. Viewers watched 5 teams travel to 4 global destinations, followed their travel blogs, chatted in forums, and voted for the winner of 1M Delta SkyMiles. Viewers who interacted could earn up to 2K SkyMiles themselves. It was Delta's first foray into video content.

The idea behind the idea:

The best way to reinforce Delta’s position as the world's largest, most global airline would be to literally take someone with us to destinations around the world, right? Turns out we were right.

Here, the world meets the five competing teams, and learns where they will go, what each team will do to win, and the prize that awaits.
